City & Guilds Level 3 - 2391 - Certificate in Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
Cost: £594.00 Inclusive of Exam Fee + VAT
Duration: 4 full days plus practical demonstration and exam
Introduction: Covering the requirements of BS 7671 for the inspection, testing, certification, practical demonstrations and hands-on experience in preparation for the practical and written exam.
Course objectives/key benefits: On completion delegates will be able to undertake and record the inspection and testing of fixed electrical installations.
Who the course is aimed at: Intended for personnel in electrical contracting companies who have responsibility for the quality of the inspection, testing and certification process. It addresses in particular the implications of BS 7671.
Course content: Assessment relating to the inspection, testing and certification will be in the following format:
Induction day, introducing the elements required to attain the C&G 2391 certificate. A further 3 days of instruction.
- Assessment relating to the certificate
- 2391/001 Inspection, Testing and Certification written paper - 2 1/2 hrs
- 2391/002 Inspection, Testing and Certification practicals - 4 hrs
- The practical assessment will be carried out on four simulated installation test rigs
- The 2391/001 Inspection, Testing and Certification paper will be in two sections

Training method: Practical and written assessments.
Course outcome/qualification: Successful candidates will receive City & Guilds Certificate (C&G 2391). Written Only.

- A good working knowledge of BS 7671:2008 Wiring Regulations
- HSR25 Code of Practice for Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
- BS7671:2008 wiring regulations including amendments
- HSR25 Code of Practice for Electricity at Work Regulations 1989
- A Calculator
- IEE guidance note 3 Inspection and Testing
