Course aim: To enable the trainees to select and mount abrasive wheels safely.

Learning outcomes: By the end of the course the trainee will be able to:

  • State the legal requirements prior to mounting a wheel
  • List the information found on a wheel
  • Identify the hazards relating to abrasive wheels
  • State the inspection requirements
  • List the storage, handling and transportation of the wheels
  • Demonstrate the correct method of mounting balancing and dressing abrasive wheels
