Working at Height
Working at Height Awareness
As training providers, we undertake many working at height courses for a vast range of clients, this generally takes place at client premises at a time to suit them and on occasion the training has taken place in the early/late evening to cater for the business needs.
Who should attend?
This programme is suitable for all employees, who, as part of their working duties are required to work at height. The aim of the training is to enable delegates to work safely, to provide an understanding of current legislation and promote awareness of the dangers and hazards. To offer practical steps to reduce workplace accidents and encourage workers to adopt a culture that results in a safer workplace.
Aim and Objectives
The course will enable delegates to ensure that safety issues are managed efficiently, protecting the workforce, other people and the general environment, and will ensure that legal compliance is achieved.
Workshop Content
The Health & Safety at Work Etc Act 1974 and all other regulations relevant to working at height. To include:
- Overview of health and safety legislation
- Working at Height Regulations 2005
- Worker fall prevention
- Worker fall arrest
- Collective & Individual protection methods
- Hazards, risks and risk control measures
- Accident causation and prevention
- Personal protective equipment
- Means of reporting
- Course assessment
Workshop Delivery
This two hour course is presented by fully qualified and competent persons at a venue local to delegates with lecture room facilities.
