The 2382-12 17th Edition course ensures you are up-to-date with the latest industry regulation on wiring and the safe use and operation of electrical equipment and systems. It covers the 17th edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations, which came into force in June 2008. These regulations are recognised by the British Standards Institute as a British Standard (BS7671).

If you’re a practising electrician or starting in the electrical industry, you must comply with the 17th edition regulations for electrical work. The 2382-12 qualification is designed to provide those seeking progression in their career with the opportunity to develop the skills necessary to carry out job roles and responsibilities in the electrical installation environments and in association with the Electrotechnical industry
About this level
This level will suit you if you’re a practising electrician with specific qualifications, who needs to update your certification to meet the latest edition of the IEE Wiring Regulations. Alternatively if you are working in an apprenticeship capacity, or working towards a Domestic installer qualification who needs to gain this certificate.
This 17th edition course is available as a one-day refresher course or a full qualification.
- The prerequisites for the 1 day refresh course you must have already completed BS7671 2008 Qualification:
- There are no prerequisites for the full 3 day qualification course
17th Edition 1st Amendment update qualification – Level 3 Award in Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671 2008) (2011) (2382-12).
Duration: 3 days including e-volve examination (City & Guilds Online Assessment)
