CSCS Training Courses – CSCS Health & Safety Assessments
The CSCS tests runs concurrently everyday including weekends.
What is the health & safety test?
It is a 45 minute 2 part online multiple choice test on health and safety in construction. It is a screen based test and there are a maximum of 50 questions to answer. Special arrangement can be made for foreign speakers or dyslexic individuals when booking the test.
Do I need to do any health and safety training?
You may wish to prepare for the test by attending a construction health and safety awareness course. For details, phone the CSCS helpdesk.
Do I need to do the test?
For ALL TYPES of CSCS card, you do not have to do the test if you have:
Proof of attending and passing SMSTS (Site Management Safety Training Scheme) within two years before CSCS application.
NEBOSH Construction Certificate (National Examining Board for Safety and Health) within two years before CSCS application (proof must be supplied).
These are the only exemptions that are applicable for all types of CSCS card. There are currently 3 levels of CSCS health and safety tests available. These are:
CSCS tests for Trainees, Craft and Operative level cards.
CSCS Supervisor test, for Supervisor level cards (this can also be used for Craft or Operative level cards).
CSCS Manager test, for Manager and Contracts Manager cards (this can also be used for Craft or Operative level cards).
The charge rate excluding revision book inclusive of postage and packaging would be charged at £36.25 Inc VAT.
The charge rate including revision book inclusive of postage and packaging would be charged at £48.25 Inc VAT.
On the day of the test, you will automatically be advised as to whether you have passed or failed. Should you pass the test, you will receive a certificate of confirmation, if you should fail, you may reset the test, for an additional fee of £36.25.
The CITB will issue your CSCS card (Subject to £30.00 administration fee and is valid for 5 years) once you have complied and met with CITB regulations and requirements in the chosen field of trade. All test payments must be made by either cheque or credit card with in 7 working days proir to the test date. Should you not be able to attend the confirmed date, an alternative date can be arranged at you convenience.
